Andy is one of the early pioneers in large-scale battery fire testing and has spent years leading complex fire tests and battery failure investigations across a wide range of battery applications and OEMs. His hands-on experience has helped shape many of the testing methods, safety approaches, and industry practices that are widely used throughout the battery industry today. 

Andy works closely with manufacturers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop testing strategies that produce meaningful engineering data. This critical engineering data can reduce costly delays, calm AHJs and communities and eliminate unwanted surprises later in the product lifecycle. He is frequently asked to provide technical direction, practical safety improvements, and engineering feedback that helps companies strengthen products before they reach the market.  Andy is trusted by OEMs throughout the industry for honest technical feedback, careful analysis, and strict protection of confidential and proprietary information, without exception.

Andy is also passionate about improving efficiency across the battery industry, whether through reducing testing time and cost, improving recyclability and environmental impact, or challenging outdated assumptions that slow progress.
